WEEKEND PREVIEW | SFU Red Leafs vs. Stonehill Skyhawks

BOSTON, MA – With just three games to go in the season, The Simon Fraser University Red Leafs are back in Boston to take on the Stonehill College Skyhawks.

It’s been a challenging 2026 for the Red Leafs, with the team going weeks between games and having their last home game cancelled just days before they were scheduled to play. All things considered, however, the team isn’t shying away from their last three opportunities against NCAA D1 programs for the season.

Stonehill, in their third year as an independent NCAA D1 program, has struggled to find their footing amongst the ranks. They set a program record last season with just 12 wins in 34 games, and have only amassed 9 this season with no more season games until the United Collegiate Hockey Cup next week.

SFU has just three games to go until the end of the season and will want to make them count. Puck drop is scheduled for 4pm PT on both Friday and Saturday night.
