RELEASE | Red Leafs Non-Conference Team adds defender Dylan Brooks

BURNABY, BC – The Simon Fraser University Red Leafs Hockey program is excited to announce the commitment of defenceman Dylan Brooks to the non-conference roster for the 2024.25 season.

Brooks, from Chilliwack, BC, brings four full years of Junior “A” experience, all with the West Kelowna Warriors to the Red Leafs locker room. The defender logged over 170 games in the BCHL including 32 in the post-season from 2022 to 2024.

“We’re very happy to have Dylan on board,” said Head Coach Mark Coletta, “he’s a solid defender who’s proven his worth at the BCHL level.”

“It’s no secret we lost a lot of our blue line with the graduating class, so we’ll be looking to Dylan to jump right in and become a part of our d-core moving forward.”

Brooks describes his play as a puck moving two-way defenceman, and plans to study communications once he gets to SFU.
