Red Leafs Head East to Kick Off 2025.26 Campaign
BURNABY, BC – The SFU Red Leafs hockey program will start the 2025.26 non-conference NCAA campaign in Massachusetts and Connecticut, taking on the Bentley Falcons and Sacred Heart Pioneers on October 4th and 5th.
After the program’s second full season of NCAA-focused play, the Simon Fraser University Red Leafs return to the fold starting in October out on the east coast, taking on Bentley University and Sacred Heart University.
The Red Leafs and Bentley Falcons will meet for the first time in each program’s history. Bentley’s 2025 campaign saw them sweep their way through the Atlantic Hockey Tournament and earn their first ever national poll ranking and NCAA tournament berth. The Falcons would end up falling to the Boston College Eagles by a score of 3-1 in the NCAA regional game.
SFU and Sacred Heart return to the ice in Connecticut for the second consecutive year. After a tough 7-3 loss last October, the Red Leafs will look to even the score. The Pioneers finished last season falling to the Bentley Falcons in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament in the semi-final.
