GAMEDAY | SFU Red Leafs vs. Princeton Tigers 10.25.25
PRINCETON, NJ – Simon Fraser gets their first taste of Ivy League hockey against the Princeton Tigers.
After two close games last weekend in Michigan, SFU returns to the ice for the first of two on the East coast, taking on the ECAC’s Princeton University Tigers at the historic Hobey Baker Memorial Rink.
SFU keeps working towards getting back in the win column, with the previous two games only falling by a single goal and one coming in an overtime loss. The team veterans are coming into form too, with a now three way tie for points lead on the team between forwards Walker Erickson and captain Lucas Ceccarelli, and rookie Greye Rampton, each with 6 points.
This will be Princeton’s first game of the year and the first of three non-conference games for the Tigers before they begin their ECAC season. The Tigers finished the 2024.25 season with a 7-12-3 ECAC record and 12-15-3 overall record, good for a .450 win percentage and 9th in the standings, and the team would go on to lose in the first round of the ECAC playoffs to Brown University.
Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00pm PT.
