BURNABY, BC – SFU Hockey is excited to announce that former BCIHL goaltending standouts Lyndon Stanwood and Patrick Zubick will be joining the team as tandem goaltending coaches.
Stanwood was named to the BCIHL First All-Star Team and awarded the league’s Top Goaltender and MVP for the 2016-17 season. Stanwood finished his BCIHL career with SFU with a 30-11 record, a .905 sv%, and a 2.55 GAA.
Zubick was also named to the BCIHL First All-Star Team and awarded the league’s Top Goaltender for the 2019-20 season. Over 3 years with both SFU and the Selkirk College Saints, Zubick finished with a 27-16 record, a .913 sv%, and a 2.94 GAA.
Both coaches will be joining the team next week before the exhibition matchup against the Okanagan Lakers on Sept. 11th.
