The SFU Hockey team lost a friend and teammate with the passing of Volodymyr “Dash” Dashko on January 16th, 2017. Dash was loved by his teammates, team staff and the many fans that watched him play in the AJHL, SJHL, IHL and BCIHL. After two seasons with the Humboldt Broncos, Dash made his way to SFU, putting up 10 points in 9 games with the Clan. Dash was a gritty, hard-nosed blueliner with a vibrant personality, and played key role on the 2010/2011 BCIHL Championship winning squad.
