On the eve of their 2015/16 BCIHL season opener, the Clan have announced their Captain and Assistant Captains, who will aim to lead SFU to their fourth BCIHL championship.

SFU Hockey 2015/16 Captains with comments from Head Coach Mark Coletta

Captain: #91 Jono Ceci

“He has always been a class individual and has gone about his career at SFU like a true professional.  Having him wear the C will be good for him, as we want him to be a leader both on and off the ice.”

Assistant Captain: #9 Graham Smerek

“You can call Graham a “Little ball of hate” and his feisty attitude is what we need.  He will hold players accountable and leads by example.”

Assistant Captain: #33 Jesse Williamson

“Jesse is one of those players everyone on the team wants to be around.  He has a great energy and will take a role in mentoring our young defensive group.”

Mike Sandor and Matt Luongo will also be counted as part of the leadership group with the team.  “These guys are well respected by the other players and will help bring our young team together.
