BURNABY, BC — SFU Men’s Hockey will make their home debut this Saturday against the reigning BCIHL Champions, UVic, with a deeper lineup this week. Missing eight players in their previous game against Eastern Washington on October 7th, a number of players are expected to slot back in.
“It looks like we’re getting more healthy everyday, so that’s a good thing,” said head coach Mark Coletta.
Forward Spencer Unger, who was pencilled in to make his season debut last Saturday before the game was postponed, is expected to play. Forward Jaret Babych, who put up 11 goals and six assists last season, is also expected to make his season debut this weekend as well.
Forwards Tim Chow, Mac Colasimone, and defenceman Zack Klebaum will be gametime decisions. Chow played the first game of the season before missing the second with an injury. Colisamone, a transfer from the University of Calgary (U Sports), would be making his BCIHL regular season debut.
Forwards Sam Chatterley, Cam Bertsch, and defenceman Dustin Cave will not play this weekend.
Lyndon Stanwood is expected to start in net.
