COMMITMENT | NCAA Transfer Jimmy Darby Joins Red Leafs

BURNABY – The Simon Fraser University Red Leafs Hockey program is pleased to announce the commitment of defenceman Jimmy Darby to the Non-Conference Roster for the 2023.24 season.
The North Vancouver native joins the Red Leafs after spending the 2022.23 season with the NCAA Division 1 University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves, where he suited up for 13 games and finished the year with a +1 rating.
Darby spent his junior career here in BC with the Trail Smoke Eaters and Surrey Eagles, where he was named an Alternate Captain for the 2020.21 season, and named the Captain for the 2021.22 season.
Darby joins fellow Surrey Eagles alum Buddy Johnson on the Red Leafs non-conference roster, and is set to appear in his first game with the team on September 22nd against the Briercrest College Clippers in Burnaby at Bill Copeland Sports Centre.
