In a Burnaby first, the Montreal Canadiens Alumni squad came to town to raise funds for Burnaby Family Life in a fun-filled charity game on February 9th.
Mayor Horgan was on hand as the Canadiens would treat fans with non-stop antics including a pie in the face, referee bribery, a dousing of the home team bench, and ample amounts of NHL talent on display.
While SFU Alumni Paul Moscone, Jason Pagliaro, Jaime Laprise and Chris Heavenor did their best to keep the game close, the Canadiens would top the home team by a final score of 14-10.
SFU Hockey would like to thank Burnaby Family Life for involving our Alumni and making us a part of this entertaining event!

Thanks to the @CanadiensMTL Alumni and @BurnabyFamLife Home Team for treating us to an awesome game with so many surprises! Special thank you to Patrice Brisebois for faking an injury so you could soak the entire home team bench with a bucket of water ? pic.twitter.com/51osk4Uxby
