MARK COLETTA - Head Coach

Mark began his career in hockey as a successful junior and university player, first with the PIJHL's Richmond Sockeyes and later as a National Championship winner at NCAA Division III Plattsburgh State in New York.

Upon graduating from college, Coletta returned to British Columbia and began his career in coaching. Mark spent one season as an assistant coach with the BCHL's Surrey Eagles and went on to coach a number of elite rep teams at the Burnaby Winter Club, where he once played his minor hockey.

Mark joined the Simon Fraser University Men's Ice Hockey program in July 2008 and won his first BC Intercollegiate Hockey League Championship in March, 2010. He was named the BCIHL's Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010 and has led the team to a regular season record of 32-6-2 in league play during his first two seasons at SFU.


JIM CAMAZZOLA - Assistant Coach

Jim is in his first season as an Assistant Coach at Simon Fraser University and he brings an impressive playing and coaching resume to the Clan men's hockey program.

He enjoyed a tremendous junior career with the Western Hockey League's Kamloops Junior Oilers and New Westminster Bruins and was named to the All-Star team at the 1984 Memorial Cup. A Chicago Blackhawks draft pick, Jim made his NHL debut in 1986 and went on to play three seasons in the American and International Hockey Leagues before moving to Europe, where he spent 11 professional seasons in Italy and Germany before retiring as a player in 2002.

He has coached at home and abroad, and has held head coaching positions with Asiago HC in Italy's Serie A and with the Pacific International Junior Hockey League's Delta Icehawks. Jim works closely with SFU's defencemen.

 


ROB FUCHS - Goaltending Coach

SFU's goaltending coach since 2009, Rob is co-owner of Pro Formance Goalie schools. A graduate of Hamline University in 2003 with a bachelors degree in business management, Rob played four years of college hockey where, as a freshman, he won All-Conference second team honorus.

Rob also
played professionally with the Central Hockey League's Texarcana Bandits. Rob has been training goalies for over 10 years with students ranging from 6 years old to goalies at the Junior A, NCAA, and WHL levels.


CHRIS MUNSHAW - Director of Hockey Operations

Chris grew up in Chilliwack, B.C. and has been a part of the SFU Men's Hockey program since its re-inception in 2003. His involvement began as player, spending four seasons as a key member of the team's blueline corps and helping SFU to its first BC Intercollegiate Hockey League championship in 2008. He went on to graduate from SFU with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at that time switched his focus to coaching and helping to advance the team's business, scholarship, and alumni programs. Munshaw played a large role in SFU's second BCIHL title, this time as an Assistant Coach to Mark Coletta in March 2010.

Beginning in 2011 he chose to concetrate his efforts off-ice, helping to build a sucessful operational and business model within the organization, one that would allow the program to maintain its rapid growth and progression.

Chris also runs a small software business and has contributed to EA Sports' FIFA video game series as a software engineer since his graduation.
