SFU Hockey is pleased to announce a commitment for the 2019/20 BCIHL season from Nipawin Hawks forward Christian Bosa.
Bosa, a native of Langley BC, played 3 junior A seasons split between the Coquitlam Express, Kindersley Klippers and Nipawin Hawks, totalling 11 points in 59 BCHL games and 22 points in 74 SJHL games. Bosa is a savvy forward who brings a strong resume to the SFU lineup, including a Canalta Cup championship in 2017/18 with Nipawin. By all accounts the 5’11” 192lbs forward has a strong work ethic and plays a tough game by going to the net for opportunities.
Bosa, who also had breakout seasons with the BCMML’s Valley West Hawks (100 points in 80 games), plans on transferring into the Business Administration program at SFU.
“I’d like to come in and develop as a player,” says Bosa. “I’ll do everything I can to help SFU win.”
Bosa joins a 2019/20 SFU recruiting class which includes:
– Connecticut Jr. Rangers (USPHL) forward Takato Cox
– AJHL veteran Adamu Tanaka
– Surrey Eagles (BCHL) captain Ty Westgard
– Richmond Sockeyes captain Matt Brown
– Edmonton Oil King (WHL) defenceman Jordan Dawson
– Red Lake Miners (SIJHL) defenceman Matt Krawiec
– North Van Wolf Pack (PJHL) captain Justin Lee
– Richmond Sockeyes (PJHL) Assistant Captain Jake Keremidschieff
SFU takes on TWU and UBC for the 2019 Captain’s Cup in September prior to kicking off the 2019/20 BCIHL season in October.
Additional announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
