Coaching Staff

Mark began his career in hockey as a successful junior and university player, first with the PIJHL’s Richmond Sockeyes and later as a National Championship winner at NCAA Division III Plattsburgh State in New York.

Upon graduating from college, Coletta returned to British Columbia and began his career in coaching. Mark spent one season as an assistant coach with the BCHL’s Surrey Eagles and went on to coach a number of elite rep teams at the Burnaby Winter Club, where he once played his minor hockey.

Having been named head coach of the Simon Fraser University Men’s Hockey team in July 2008, Mark has led the team to two BCIHL Championship victories and five appearances altogether in the BCIHL Finals. Named the league’s Coach of the Year twice, Mark holds the distinction as the BCIHL’s all-time winningest coach with a regular season record of 130-39-12 over eight seasons with the team.
